Weekend Doodles – Magnolia Love

Hey guys!

I’ve been working on my etsy shop but I’ve also been stamping with the new Magnolia collection. I really enjoy this cardstock that I’ve bought from Sir Stampalot. I love it as you can layer watercolor pencils as much as I want to. This cardstock is pretty thick and textured. I love that!

Here are the things I used for this project:

Video – I found Love!

Valentine’s Day is the next thing in my list of *make videos for youtube* type of deal and so I will. I already am making preperations and since there was a lack of Christmas video (slaps self on wrist), I be compensating.

I have to admit that this video is pretty sweet for grownups and children.
I mainly like the artwork. But the song is so calming that…*yawn* :)

Merry Christmas to all!

Yes this is exactly what it looks like! A Merry Christmas video on a Minecraft server! LOL!
Anyway I do hope you are have a joyious holiday. :)

Modular Origami – Elegant Star

Christmas is amongst us. I really do like Christmas Eve, as that’s when the festivities begin for us. The 25th is a more calmer “get together to eat” kind of day for us here in Portugal. As is the 24th ;) Anyway, I’ve made this mobile as an order for someone and, so, I’ve decided to take some pictures even though it was cloudy.

I am putting one of these mobiles for sale as of now so if you want one go check out my store for more information. I’m also working on some other Origami pieces for sale too but that’s later on.

If  you want to make this modular star you can do so easily by following the instructions from the video below that I made a year ago. As for the paper I used: it’s kind of flocked and amazing! I love it. Too bad it was limited edition and i cannot find anymore of these papers.

2012 Lemmings – Two Peas in a Bucket!

The holidays are here and, for that reason, I’ve been looking up thing on online stores. However, I quickly diverge to craft online stores for my own pleasure :P

The problem is that there are A LOT of great deals out there! And since I’ve been more and more interested in all things paper craft; I want everything! Since that’s not a possibility, I’ve decided to limit my wish list to the main thing in stamping/card making. Please take note that I use the term “main” loosely!

So I’ve been lemming so many thing lately, as I’ve said before. Mainly craft items and some beauty items too. let’s start with Two Peas in a Bucket. You can tell that I have a “thing” for stamps! Mainly flower ones and sentiments too. There’s a reason why I gravitate to these types of stamps. First, they are eclectic and can be used in many ways. You can even cut some sentiments and mix & match. Not also are they useful but, secondly, they are very resistant and can be used with acrylic blocks! So technically you save money. That’s always a good thing, I think. :P

TWO PEAS IN A BUCKET

This is kind of stamp frenzy but I’ve been interested in stamping for the past 2 years. It’s time to invest! ;) These items are what I consider important for starting out. Mainly, the alphabet from Lawn Fawn (Jessie’s & Smitty’s), and also the Raindrop Background from Hero Arts.

I’ve chosen mostly flower stamps because I do have watercolor pencils that I love using and i thing it might be a good thing to stamp these images and paint them softly with pencils. to top it off, a nice heart warming message and voilá! A nice card appears!

Anyway, this is “all” I liked from the Two Peas Store. Keep in mind some of the items I chose have 75% off! So shop away because things that were 20$ are now less than 10$!

I’m going to be making more of these this week so keep in touch! Also, what is your favorite item out of my list and why? Tell me down on the comments section!

How to: Stashing Origami Projects

So this was a request from several of my subscribers from YouTube. So here’s some photos I took of my little transparent  stash box. The project I’m working here in this picture is a Kusudama Chrysanthemum by Leroy. However, mine has an alteration on the fold (which I love)!

I think this is one of my favorite ideas ever! I just adore organized craft areas and this helps a ton!

You can download the pdf template I designed here. This is for the bigger version of this box, so you’ll have two sheets. And a smaller version here. This is one sheet.

You can also download this template for your Silhouette machine and cut it in a 12″ by 12″ paper! Just click here.

ALTERNATIVES

For this box I used thick transparent acetate, but you can use thick cardstock or even chipboard. As for the available downloads, you may print in a common printer paper and then paste it to cardstock. I also have another version of the template in which it’s possible to print in A4 paper so you can have a bigger template. easy as that!
